Laila Mae was born in Austria on the 19th October, 1945. Laila has travelled extensively throughout Australia and in particular Tasmania. Laila's work has been represented in public and private collections in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane both in china painting and mixed mediums. Laila has always loved to draw and paint and coming from an artistic family, she naturally attended commercial arts school and College in East Sydney and worked in the advertising industry. Laila studied china painting for 6 years and is self taught in water colors and oils. Laila's passion is wildlife and she spent many years both shuffling a family business and painting for family and friends. She paints on a professional level selling her work through various galleries throughout Queensland. Laila's paintings of animals and flowers are beautiful in detail, her work lends itself to be reproduced on materials and prints.
