WILD LINKS NEW GUINEA

I have seen crocodiles and alligators in many countries. The Alligator Farm in Florida is spooky, hundreds of crocodiles all squashed on top of each other and the one south of Kinabalu in Sarawak is very sad. In Africa though I watched their eyes at night glide past our safari lodge and in the Amazon river saw black caimans swim at night with capybarras scrambling along the edges. In Australia the Reptile Park outside Gosford has an alligator observation walk which is massive so the alligators have a more natural environment.
The New Guinea Crocodile only ventures out on land at night so they must remain in the water all day till night falls. A super time to get a little peak at the New Guinea Crocodile is in the rainy season when they mate. The New Guinea Crocodile has been killed in gigantic groups for its skin and meat, the native people eat its meat and make leather out of its skin.
